Huntsville Roofing Repair Pros is a repair-first roofing company based in Huntsville, Alabama, working every town in Madison County. Repair-first means the default answer to a leak is to find it and fix it, not to sell a roof, and the default format for every answer is a written line-item estimate with photos attached.
We built the company around the way people in this town actually buy roofing. Huntsville is full of engineers, program managers and federal families who read the scope, compare the numbers, and want a file they can hand to the next owner. That is a good customer to have, and the way to keep them is to write everything down.
How we quote
Every quote starts with a look, in the attic when there is one and on the roof. We photograph what we find and send the photos with the estimate, so you are looking at your own flashing, not a stock picture.
The estimate is line items: the problem, the fix, the materials, the price, and a note on anything we saw that does not need attention yet. On a replacement that means the square count, the shingle, the underlayment, flashing, ventilation and the decking allowance as separate numbers.
The price in writing is the price. If we open the roof and find rotten decking, it is billed per sheet at the rate on the estimate and photographed before it is covered. No deposit until you sign, and no kitchen-table sales visit.
Permits, cleanup and the roof file
We pull a permit where the city or county requires one and include the fee as a line on the estimate. Tear-offs go to the decking; we do not layer shingles over shingles. The yard and driveway get a magnet sweep for nails before we leave.
Every job closes with the same thing it opened with: photos. Before, during and after, dated and labeled, in a file you keep. When the house sells, that file answers the buyer's roof question before it is asked.
We also say no to work that should not be done. Shingles over curled shingles, metal over soft decking, a bucket of roof cement on a flat roof that needs a new membrane, a hail claim for damage that is under the deductible. Each of those makes money this month and costs the homeowner next year, and we would rather be the company you send back out next year.
